En 2017 se hace cada vez más difícil precisar dónde termina Brandon Flowers y comienza The Killers. Wonderful, Wonderful, el quinto álbum del grupo y primero en cinco años, supone más una lógica continuación de The Desired Effect (2015), el disco solista de Flowers, que de Battle Born (2012), el último del grupo. Pomposo y extravagante pero a la vez entretenido y genuino, Wonderful, Wonderful es el fiel reflejo de su carismático creador, quien sigue demostrando su innata capacidad para combinar new wave, disco y rock de estadios.
