Revival es el quinto álbum de Selena Gomez y el primero de la joven cantante para Interscope, el sello para el cual firmara tras dejar a Disney. Siguiendo la fórmula imperante en el pop comercial contemporáneo, el disco cuenta con el aporte de un nutrido grupo de productores y compositores: entre los primeros aparecen nombres como los de Stargate, Hit Boy, Max Martin, Benny Blanco y Rock Mafia, y entre los segundos los de Charli XCX, Julia Michaels o Justin Trantor. Sin embargo, en búsqueda de un mayor crecimiento personal y artístico, en esta ocasión Gomez se encargó ella misma de la producción ejecutiva y de coescribir seis de los once temas del disco. Revival incluye los exitosos sencillos "Sober" y "Good For You".
