Fields of Gold reúne los sencillos de éxito de Sting, igual que cualquier otra recopilación de grandes éxitos, pero el material de Sting suena sorprendentemente acomodaticio en este contexto. Por supuesto, aquí hay unas cuantas canciones magníficas, suficientes para exponer sus buenas dotes como cantautor o para satisfacer a los oyentes ocasionales.
