Lxandra

Berlin-based Finnish vocalist Lxandra is a soulful, arty performer whose moody, piano-driven sound touches upon folk and electronic pop. She first garnered attention with her 2019 debut EP, Another Lesson Learned, before releasing her 2021 full-length Careful What I Dream Of. In 2023, she made a bid to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Something to Lose." Born in 1996 on the small Finnish island of Suomenlinna, Alexandra Lehti became interested in music at a young age. By her teens, she was attending Tölö Specialiseringsgymnasium, a music high school in nearby Helsinki. After school, she relocated to Berlin full-time to launch her career. In 2017, she independently released her debut singles as Lxandra, "Flicker" and "Hush Hush Baby." The following year, she recorded a cover of U2's "Pride (In the Name of Love)" for a trailer for the Amazon series The Man in the High Castle and issued the original song "Dig Deep," her major-label debut. That track, as well as "Flicker" and the fan-favorite "Swimming Pools," were included on the EP Another Lesson Learned, which saw release on Vertigo Berlin in October 2019. Lxandra returned in June 2021 with her full-length debut, the atmospheric Careful What I Dream Of, which she recorded in Los Angeles. In June 2023, she entered her single "Something to Lose" in Finland's Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2023 in a bid to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest. The song spent several weeks on the Finnish pop charts and ultimately finished the contest in sixth place.
