Mit seinem Album Leider zu gefährlich… landete Marc Pircher 2015 zum zweiten Mal an der Spitze der österreichischen Charts, also war es Zeit, auch ein zweites Live-Album zu veröffentlichen. Das 2016 erschienene Live in Wien bietet einen Mitschnitt von Pirchers Auftritt beim 32. Wiener Donauinselfest im Juni 2015, wo er vor 20.000 Zuhörern sang. Das Programm beinhaltete verschiedene volkstümliche Lieder und Schlager aus Pirchers Karriere, darunter erfolgreiche Singles wie "7 Sünden" (das in einer Version mit DJ Ötzi Platz 2 der österreichischen Charts erreichte) oder "Hey Diandl spürst es so wie i" (mit dem er den Grand Prix der Volksmusik 2003 gewann), aber auch zum Beispiel ein "Udo Jürgens Medley".
