PJ Harvey ha sido una artista bastante misteriosa durante mucho tiempo, con composiciones muy personales, frías e incluso brutales en sus dos primeros álbumes, "Dry" (1992) y "Rid of Me" (1993), producidos por Rob Ellis y Steve Albini, respectivamente. Pero es a partir de 1995 cuando conoció un éxito mucho mayor con su tercer álbum, "To Bring You My Love". Producido por Flood, este disco encarna por sí solo las muchas caras de la cantante nacida en Dorset, moviéndose entre la calma y la tormenta. Este trabajo también marca el final de la colaboración de PJ Harvey con Rob Ellis e Ian Oliver.
