Idioma disponible: inglésWuki is the stage name of American musician, DJ, and producer Kris Barman, whose eclectic mix of dubstep, trap, and house music has been turning heads in the electronic music scene since his debut in the early 2010s. Born on December 20, 1984, in New Jersey, he began playing guitar at the age of 13 and soon after started making his own beats in FL Studio. After cutting his teeth as a member of the electronic rock band Innerpartysystem between 2007 and 2011, he relocated to Denver and launched his solo career as Wuki in 2012 with the four-track EP Something For Everyone Vol. 1. Over the course of the next few years, he continued to bust out dancefloor-ready anthems such as "Diwali" (2013), "Jungle Funk" (2013), and "That's Right" (2014) while also gaining recognition as a producer thanks to his chart-topping remix of RL Grime & Big Sean's 2015 hit "Kingpin." His ever-growing reputation as an innovative remixer led to collaborations with major industry players such as Skrillex, Selena Gomez, The Chainsmokers, Anna Lunoe, Zeds Dead, and Diplo, and earned him a Grammy nomination for his remix of Miley Cyrus' "Mother's Daughter" in 2019. Ro Sham Bo, a joint EP with fellow electronic musician Nitti Gritti, appeared in 2020 and was followed by his full-length debut Wukiworld (2021), which featured cameos by Diplo, Baby Tate, Smokepurrp, and many more. In 2022, he collaborated with UK vocalist Clementine Douglas on the single "Edge of Seventeen," a reworking of the Stevie Nicks classic of the same name that reached Number 50 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
