Tres Oui

Still remaining in the realm of jangly, melodic guitar pop, Literature singer/guitarist Nathaniel Cardaci formed Très Oui as a separate creative outlet following their 2014 album Chorus. With one-time Literature guitarist Steven Garcia, the band's bassist Seth Whaland, and synth/electronics specialist Ian Jensen, they began playing shows in and around Austin, Texas in 2016. After adding drummer Doran Rawlinson, the band recorded and released the 2017 EP Singles Going Nowhere via Square of Opposition Records/Austin Town Hall Records (U.S.) and Waterslide Records (Japan). After a U.S. tour and appearances at festivals such as SXSW and Athens Popfest the same year, they returned to the studio for their full-length debut. Blending impulsive indie rock with the sounds of '80s new wave and a dose of airy sophisti-pop, Poised to Flourish arrived on Shrimper Records in early 2018.
