The Shins
Grupo clásico de guitarra pop, los Shins comenzaron en 1997 como proyecto paralelo del cantante y guitarrista James Mercer. Tras un par de 7"s para Omnibus, los Shins recibieron un pedido de Sub Pop para colaborar con el sello en el Club del Simple del Mes, que a la larga resultó en un ofrecimiento para lanzar en 2001 su álbum debut Oh, Inverted World –uno de los álbumes decisivos del indie rock a comienzos de los 2000. Chutes Too Narrow se lanzó en 2003, seguido en 2007 por Wincing the Night Away, que vendió más de 100. 000 copias en su primera semana.
