SEXWITCH
Idioma disponible: inglésCombining psychedelic rock with folk songs from around the world, Sexwitch is a collaboration between Bat for Lashes' Natasha Khan, producer Dan Carey, and the band TOY. The project's roots stretch back to 2013's "The Bride," a cover of a pre-revolution Iranian folk song that the artists worked on together and Carey released via his Speedy Wunderground label. Looking to collaborate again, he and Khan went record shopping and found psych-folk songs hailing from Morocco, Thailand, Iran, and the United States that they wanted to interpret. Dubbed Sexwitch for the mystical and sensual power within the music, the project made its live debut with a surprise set at Wales' Green Man Festival in August 2015. Sexwitch's self-titled first album, which was recorded in Carey's South London studio, was released a month later.
