En el curso de las décadas que abarca su carrera, Rush, el trío power oriundo de Canadá, surgió como uno de los conjuntos mejor considerados dentro del hard rock; aunque dejados de lado por la crítica y a pesar de ser receptores poco comunes de la corriente central de aquel pop que se pasaba por radio, la agrupación, tiene, sin embargo, una impresionante y leal cantidad de seguidores a la vez que sus virtuosas interpretaciones han solidificado esa calidad que los hace músicos de músicos. 2112 (de 1976) fue su estupendo álbum inaugural, de concepto futurístico, basado en letras de Ayn Rand, y que fusionaba los elementos de sonido del trío en un todo unificado: las canciones con el timbre agudo de Geddy Lee, las composiciones largamente épicas de Neil Peart, y el complejo trabajo de guitarra de Alex Lifeson.© Jason Ankeny /TiVo Leer más
