Atlanta hip-hop artist Only1Skoota built his brand as a producer for acts such as Rich Homie Quan before stepping to the mic as a rapper with late-2010s mixtapes I Come to Change the Game and Blossom. In 2015, he produced a pair of tracks for Rich Homie Quan ("Family," "I Swear"), followed by work for Kyyngg and Lau. In 2017, he released early effort I Come to Change the Game, which featured appearances by Rich Homie Nard, Persona, Prynce, Kyyngg, and a reciprocating Quan. The set combined bass-heavy trap anthems with more dancefloor-friendly productions, linked by Skoota's singsong bars. That same year, he also issued Blossom, which saw the return of guests Nard and Kyyngg. In 2019, he released the booming single "Yessir!"
