Hoshi
French pop singer/songwriter and musician Hoshi was born Mathilde Gerner on September 14th, 1996 in Versailles. She rose to prominence with high-profile appearances on TV talent shows The Voice and Rising Star before releasing her first album Il Suffit d'Y Croire in 2018. It reached Number 4 in the national charts, spawning several hits including “Comment je vais faire”, “Ta marinière” and “Je vous trouve un charme fou” featuring Gaëtan Roussel. Promptly getting to work on a follow-up, she returned in 2019 with the single “Amour censure”, which was swiftly followed in June 2020 by her sophomore album, Sommeil Levant. Peaking at Number 3 in France, it marked a new personal best for the rising star, and was set to be followed by a tour of her home country in November of the same year which was ultimately postponed for public health reasons due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021 she released the single “Et même après je t'aimerai” which set the stage for the album Étoile Fippante, which was released later that year.
