David Bowie fue el gran camaleón del pop. A lo largo de una carrera tan extraordinaria como prolífica supo ser innocuo cantante pop, ícono del glam rock, intérprete blanco de soul o artista revolucionario. Si bien su primer hit fue "Space Oddity" en 1969, recién revelaría todo su increíble talento en 1972 con la creación del personaje de Ziggy Stardust. De ahí en más, y en menos de tres años, Bowie pasaría a elaborar discos de rock distópico, soul de Philadelphia y pop experimental de vanguardia. En las décadas que siguieron continúo lanzando notables discos y participando en varias películas. Ningún otro artista de la historia del rock fue protagonista fundamental de tantos movimientos, inspirando a cada paso generaciones enteras de discípulos.
