Su single debut, "Inside Your Heaven," se lanzó ese verano; en otoño, acompañando la gira de American Idols Live!, de la que participaba, lanzó Some Hearts –que a la larga recibiría un triple disco de platino. El single tomado del tema central del álbum, "Jesus, Take the Wheel", trepó a la cima de la lista de los Hot Country Songs de Billboard y estuvo allí seis semanas.
