Con su voz límpida y emotiva enmarcada por gélidas texturas electrónicas y beats minimalistas, la cantante y compositora noruega Aurora Aksnes habita el mismo espacio de pop oscuro de artistas como Oh Land, Lykke Li o Lorde. Originaria de Stavenger, Aurora hizo su debut a fines de 2013 con el sencillo "Awakening", seguido en 2015 por el EP Running with the wolves. En ese mismo año su versión de "Half the world away" de Oasis fue utilizada en una publicidad de Navidad de las tiendas inglesas John Lewis, aumentando así el perfil mediático de la joven cantautora.
