Anenon
Idioma disponible: inglésLos Angeles native Brian Allen Simon, professionally known as Anenon, incorporates electronic and acoustic instrumentation, including his own fluttering saxophone playing, into dreamy soundscapes which blend ambient music, jazz improvisation, modern composition, and abstract beats. Simon founded experimental imprint Non Projects in 2010; his split EP with frequent collaborator Asura (Ryan York) was one of the label's first releases. In 2011, Simon participated in the Red Bull Music Academy, and remixed tracks by Take, Shlohmo, and yuk. 2012 saw the release of Anenon's Acquiescence EP and Inner Hue LP, which contained some of his most beat-driven material. He also began a monthly radio program on L.A. Internet radio station Dublab, titled Non Projections, and toured Japan with Leaving Records founder Matthewdavid at the end of the year. Simon's Sunset and Clocks EP appeared in 2013, followed by 2014 full-length Sagrada, as well as its accompanying remix EP. 2015 EP Camembert appeared on new home Friends of Friends, and third album Petrol arrived in 2016. Pushing Simon's ambient and jazz influences to the forefront, the album was easily his most acclaimed work to date. Throughout the year, Simon co-curated Monument, a series of ambient performances which took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. His fourth album, Tongue, arrived in February of 2018.
