6LACK es el nombre artístico del cantante y MC norteamericano Ricardo Valentine, creador de un R&B y rap sosegado y narcótico. La carrera de Valentine comenzó a despegar alrededor de 2015 tras su asociación con la productora LVRN, contribuciones para el recopilatorio Bears Like This Too y sencillos como "Bless Me" y "Loyal". Su debut para Interscope, titulado FREE 6LACK y lanzado en septiembre de 2016, llegó a figurar en el Top 40 de Billboard.
