Rush Davis

Rush Davis is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer with a sound rooted in club, hip-hop, house, and R&B and a creative style informed by his years spent absorbing the underground ballroom culture at N.Y.C.'s House of Xtravaganza. Raised in South Los Angeles, Davis was called a "once in-a-20-year artist" by Lionel Richie at the age of 11, and by 18, he was sharing stages with Snoop Dogg and Akon. He eventually caught the attention of BMG president Zach Kata, who signed the young artist as a producer/songwriter. Before long, Davis was making a name for himself via anonymous features and singles, and sculpting hits for hip-hop, pop, R&B, and electronic artists like Duke Dumont, Cee-Lo Green, Dawn Richard, and Scarface. In 2021, he teamed up with American producer Ezra Rubin (aka Kingdom) and issued the singles "Nerve" and "Anyways." Both cuts appeared on the duo's 2022 full-length effort Transmission, which celebrated queer culture via a rich amalgamation of Rubin's contemporary R&B- and U.K.-influenced heavy bass production and Davis' deeply personal lyrics.
