Aurélie Saada

Aurélie Saada was born on August 4, 1978, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, France. She discovered music at an early age, thanks to her mother, who introduced her to the standards of Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Prince, which she sang in her first bands. But she didn't put aside her other passion, acting, and enrolled at the Cours Florent after graduating from high school. She combined her two artistic skills in 1996, taking part in Éric Charden and Guy Bontempelli's musical Mayflower. This was followed by a series of theatrical and studio experiences with artists such as Renaud Hantson and Francis Lalanne. At the turn of the year 2000, she learnt to play the guitar, but concentrated on the Les Quiches collective, where she worked as a screenwriter and actress on some forty short films. She was 23 when she signed with Delabel under the name Mayane Delem. In 2003, she released her first album, "Un Monde Ailleurs", featuring the song "Je pars avec toi" (n°55). After Petites Chansons domestiques dans ma chambre de disques..., released in 2006 under the name Mayane, Aurélie Saada formed the duo Brigitte with Sylvie Hoarau in 2007. Together, they released an EP(Battez-Vous in 2010) and several albums, from Et Vous, Tu m'Aimes? in 2011 to Nues in 2017, and won the "Groupe ou artiste révélation scène" award at the 2012 Victoires de la musique awards. In 2021, when Aurélie Saada announced the end of the duo on social networks, she devoted herself to her solo career, writing the soundtrack for the film Rose. A year later, her first album under her own name was released. It is entitled Bomboloni (n°196) and features eleven songs.
