Neon Young is the debut album from this Oakland, CA "21st century cyberpunk" duo consisting of vocalist Ashley "Crash" Gallegos and Adam Drucker, better known as Doseone, founder of the influential alt-rap collective and label Anticon. Combining melodic electro-pop with eight-bit samples, hip-hop beats, retro analog synth, and DayGlo aesthetics, their irreverent, transgressive music combines politicized polemic with dancefloor-ready fun.
