So Help Me God! didn't turn out to be the last Def Jam recording from 2 Chainz. The rapper extended his affiliation with the label after he announced his imminent departure. Its follow-up arrived with the notice that it would be his last trap album, and going by the result, the second declaration of finality seems more likely to hold true than the first one. The 42 Dugg collaboration "Million Dollars Worth of Game" is one of 2 Chainz's rawest tracks (even with a whistling wind instrument sampled from a mid-'50s Hindi film soundtrack), "Neighbors Know My Name" cleverly stretches D4L's snap classic "Laffy Taffy," but not much else stands out. 2 Chainz simply doesn't sound as inspired as he normally does, as this short set lacks the madcap wit and energy that flow throughout previous albums of much longer duration. A recharge and change of direction clearly seem necessary.
