Alice Ader

This noted concert and solo pianist is equally at home in contemporary and classical music. She earned her diplomas from the C.N.S.M. of Paris (Unanimous First Prize in 1963) and the Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien (Viennese Academy for Music and Representational Art) (1970 examination with the congratulations of the jury). From 1967 through 1970, she studied with Geneviève Dehelly and Jacques Février in France and with Bruno Seidlhofer in Austria. The many halls and festivals at which she has appeared include the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Châtelet, salle Gaveau (Paris), Festival de Montpellier, Midem (Cannes), Wiener Konzerthaus, Mozarteum (Salzburg), London's Wigmore Hall, and the Théâtre de St-Louis (Lisbon). Ader's television and radio broadcasts include appearances on Radio France, the BBC, Südwestfunk (Southwest German Radio), and Radio Lisbonne. As a recording artist, she excels in her subtle interpretations of Debussy and the lyrical works of Schubert, as well as efforts on Bach's Die Kunst der Fuge and the complete piano works of Mussorgsky.
