Ramené à un synopsis, LOVE des Beatles semble radical : assisté par son père George, Giles Martin, le légendaire producteur des Beatles, a assemblé un album de remix dans lequel les airs bien connus ne sont pas simplement remis au goût du jour, mais véritablement brassés, différentes versions de différentes chansons étant collées ensemble pour créer un nouveau morceau. Ni cafouillage, ni révélation, LOVE semble au premier abord légèrement bizarre, mais l’effet de nouveauté s’estompe peu à peu, révélant qu’il s’agit bien des mêmes chansons que l’on connaît tous par cœur, si ce n’est, ça et là, une batterie plus forte et quelques parties déplacées. Ce grand spectacle tout en éclat et en couleurs n'économise pas ses efforts pour plaire, mais LOVE n’est au fond pas grand-chose d'autre que de la nostalgie se faisant passer pour de la nouveauté.
