Dylan Dunlap

Los Angeles native Dylan Dunlap creates a lush and hopeful blend of pop, folk, and electronica that takes influence from artists like Coldplay and Mumford & Sons. A talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he found success with streaming hits like 2019's "If That's Alright" and 2020's "Who Would Have Thought," while also using his music as a platform for mental health advocacy. He signed with Nettwerk and delivered a pair of EPs in 2021's Soldier On and 2022's Stranger in My Head. Inspired by his musician father, Dunlap began playing piano at the age of six and eventually taught himself guitar as well. By the time he was 11, he'd begun dabbling with home recording and although his initial love was for film music, he ultimately pursued a career as a singer/songwriter. After developing his chops as a street performer in Los Angeles, he studied at Boston's Berklee College of Music and in 2015 successfully auditioned for NBC's talent contest The Voice. Bolstered by the national recognition he earned from appearing on both the show and subsequent tours, he began releasing his own music with the 2016 full-length Thoughts Become Things, followed by the 2017 EP Feels Right at Home. 2018's "Microphones & Lights" single became somewhat of a breakout release, and during a U.S. tour he opened for OneRepublic's sold-out Stadium of Fire, even in Provo, Utah. A mental health advocate, Dunlap donated 100-percent of his EPs' digital proceeds to the PSA Behavioral Health Agency in Phoenix, Arizona, and often sings of his own struggles in his songs. He charity work earned him the Fighting Stigma Rising Star Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Over the next few years, Dunlap's thoughtful and cinematic pop songs began to gain traction online, first with the 2019 EP Things I Can't Explain, followed by the streaming hit "If That's Alright" which racked up millions of streams. In 2020 another single, "Who Would Have Thought," also became a streaming hit and he signed with the Nettwerk label to release 2021's Soldier On EP. After a smattering of singles, Dunlap returned in early 2022 with another EP, Stranger in My Head.
