Wilsen
A band helmed by singer and songwriter Tamsin Wilson, Wilsen's introspective indie rock is marked by lush, intimate atmospheres. They made their label debut in 2013 with Sirens. Their third full-length, 2020's Ruiner, was recorded with long-time Big Thief collaborator Andrew Sarlo.
A native of London, England, Tamsin Wilson formed Wilsen with guitarist Johnny Simon and bass player Drew Arndt while studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. The trio moved to New York following graduation. They self-released their debut long-player, Sirens, which was soon reissued by Secret City Records in 2013. The EP Magnolia followed a year later, and a set of Magnolia remixes featuring versions by Wye Oak and White Hinterland, among others, appeared in 2015. That same year, Wilsen was featured on a Wye Oak remix of the Honne song "Coastal Love," and the trio made their South by Southwest festival debut.
Featuring production by the band with Ben Baptie (Cage the Elephant, Laura Mvula), the Wilsen's second full-length, I Go Missing in My Sleep, saw release in 2017. They next teamed up with producer/engineer/mixer Andrew Sarlo (Bon Iver, Big Thief) for third album Ruiner. It arrived on Secret City and Dalliance Recordings in early 2020.
