Paula Mattos

Paula Mattos is a Brazilian singer and songwriter who has written for some of the biggest names in the world of Latin pop.

Encouraged by her father, Mattos was writing music and performing in bars from her early teens. She had a frustrating time trying to break into the music industry, but she finally got her foot in the door when she was invited to sing backing vocals for Thaeme & Thiago and performed with them for two years. She began writing for other musicians, including the likes of Thaeme & Thiago, Gusttavo Lima, Munhoz & Marian, Luan Santana and Henrique & Juliano.

It took a while longer for Mattos's solo career to take root, but in 2015 she released her debut album, 'Acústico', following up with the EP 'Sofrer Pra Quê?' in 2016 and the live album 'Paula Mattos Ao Vivo em São Paulo' in 2017. In 2019 she released the single 'Boa Sorte' (featuring Dilsinho).
