Hologram Teen

Hologram Teen is a solo project (and anagram) of former Stereolab keyboardist Morgane Lhote. Her colorful, playful songs are heavily influenced by horror movie soundtracks and Italo disco, as well as dub, instrumental hip-hop, and synth pop. Initially from Paris, Lhote moved to London when she was 20 and spent several years as one of the keyboard players in the highly influential group Stereolab before briefly joining the Projects and playing in a folk-inspired group called Garden with members of Simian Mobile Disco. After spending nearly a decade in New York City, she moved to Los Angeles and concentrated on her solo material. Debut Hologram Teen single "Post-Apocalypteacakes" was released by Deep Distance in 2015. This was followed by 2016's "Marsangst" on Happy Robot Records. Hologram Teen's full-length debut, Between the Funk and the Fear, was released by Polytechnic Youth in 2017. The album included a collaboration with Craig Borell and Sasha Fuentes, both former members of Los Angeles-based electro-lounge-pop band Sukia.
