Alliel
Born in 1991 in a Lyon suburb, French singer Alliel made his way into the limelight through a brief participation in the seventh season of TF1’s reality music competition The Voice. The son of a jazz vocalist, he took shelter in music after his parent’s divorce and soon started to write songs for his own pleasure. Alliel was fully devoted to his work and his family during his young adulthood and almost stopped singing altogether. In 2018, his partner signed him up for The Voice, where he joined Zazie’s team and was eliminated after a series of auditions. Despite his premature departure from the show, Alliel was signed to Parlophone and began working on his own material, making his official debut with the 2019 single “Encore.” The song quickly blew up online, racking up millions of views and streams on the singer’s platforms and reaching the Top 30 on the French Radio Airplay Chart. The disco funk-infused single “Ce qui nous rend fous” hit the shelves a year later, peaking at Number 41 on SNEP’s Radio Airplay Chart and Number 40 on the Belgian Singles Chart.
