Kaala Bhairava

Kaala Bhairava is a multi-lingual playback singer and film composer from South India. Born on August 7 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, he was raised by an artistic family whose members included his father, the iconic film composer M. M. Keeravani, and his younger brother, Telugu film actor Sri Simha. After appearing in the 2007 film Yamadonga as a child actor, Bhairava kickstarted his career as a playback singer by performing songs in many of his father's films, beginning with 2011's Rajanna. During the next five years, his musical highlights included "Sapnon Ki Ek Duniya Hai" (from 2012's Eega), "Khoya Hain" (from 2015's Baahubali: The Beginning), and "Neetho Aithe" (from 2016's Kundanapu Bomma. His reputation had expanded significantly by 2017, when he performed five songs — including the popular "Oka Praanam," which earned him a nomination at the 10th Mirchi Music Awards for "Upcoming Male Vocalist of the Year" — in the film Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. One year later, he contributed songs to sixteen different film soundtracks, in addition to composing the score for the web series Nanna Koochi. He also won "Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu" at the 2018 South Indian International Movie Awards for "Dandalayya," another track from Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. While continuing to appear on soundtracks from films like 2019's Jersey, 2020's Ksheera Saagara Madhanam, and 2021's Tuck Jagadish, he also worked as a film composer, writing the scores for 2020's Colour Photo, 2021's Thellavarithe Guruvaram, and others.
