Publiées pour la première fois en novembre 1997, les BBC Sessions réunissent des sessions de Led Zeppelin enregistrées en mars et juin 1969 (à l’époque de la sortie de leur premier album) ainsi qu’un concert au Paris Theater de Londres le 1er avril 1971. Avant leur sortie officielle, ces séances comptaient parmi les pirates les plus prisés des fans. Raison principale de cet engouement : ces bandes étaient les rares à vraiment capter la rage live de la bande Robert Plant et Jimmy Page. Même si ces BBC Sessions s’adressent avant tout aux fans du groupe, elles permettront aux novices de mieux cerner le génie électrique des inventeurs du hard rock. Cette Complete Edition qui parait en 2016 propose en prime des inédits de 1969 dont de nouvelles versions de Dazed and Confused, White Summer, I Can't Quit You Baby, You Shook Me et Sunshine Woman ainsi que deux de Communication Breakdown et What Is and What Should Never Be. © MD/Qobuz
