Gregory Abbott's follow-up LP to his gold Shake You Down album was I'll Prove It to You. Co-produced by Abbott and keyboardist Alan Panaker, it finds the vocalist in the same vein as his previous effort; merging '80s music technology with '50s doowop/early-'60s soul-tinged sensibility. The result is enchanting. Another single, "Let Me Be Your Hero," was more in the vein of "Shake You Down. The title track and "Runaway" are on his greatest-hits set, Super Hits. The New York-born singer issued an album of new material, Eyes, Whispers, Rhythm, Sex, in 2000.
