Florida rapper Kodak Black celebrated his 24th birthday by giving himself the gift of a four-song EP Happy Birthday Kodak. The short release is made up of mostly smooth, melodic rap tunes with Auto-Tuned vocals and trap-lite instrumentals. Lighthearted opener "Gleerious" floats by on an intoxicating cloud before "Feelin' Peachy" comes along feeling more serious, with Kodak digging in to the kind of slithering flow that made him famous. "White Toes" chops up cinematic R&B samples and includes sung contributions from Jacquees, and closing track "Amber Rolls" splits the difference between the three tracks that came before it by providing the EP's most complex beat for Kodak, Lil Keed, Yo Gotti, and Rylo Rodriguez to trade verses over.
