Un art du chant qui va sans doute déconcerter les plus jeunes, en même temps qu'il peut agir comme le révélateur d'une manière intime de dire le texte autant que de chanter la musique. C'est une des grandes gravures de ce cycle phare du lied romantique allemand. Réalisée pour His Master's Voice en 1953, cette interprétation de la Winterreise (le voyage est féminin en allemand) de Schubert par Hans Hotter, interprète inégalé des langueurs extatiques et mystérieuses de Schubert, dans son dernier zénith, et le célèbre pianiste Gerald Moore. Un voyage philosophique à travers les désillusions de la vie et d'une grande portée poétique. FH
