Trois ans après la percée des Pussycat Dolls grâce au carton qu'a fait leur premier album PCD, l'ancienne troupe burlesque est de retour avec une deuxième galette de pop insolente, Doll Domination. Même si les fans comptaient sur la sortie de l'album solo largement médiatisé (et reporté à plusieurs reprises) de Nicole Scherzinger, Domination voit la chanteuse diriger sa sororité sculpturale sur un ensemble de chansons sensuelles orientées dance, qui compense assez bien. Outre le single techno "When I Grow Up", qui donne de l'espoir à toutes les petites filles qui aimeraient elles aussi devenir une Pussycat Doll un jour, le disque inclut également "Whatcha Think About That", une chanson mid-tempo percutante sur laquelle apparaît Missy Elliott.
