About Playlist
Blur released their first album, Leisure, over thirty years ago on August 27, 1991. Despite its relative success, this record was to lay the foundation of an extraordinary career. Blur would become—without really adhering to it—one of the spearheads of Britpop. They released Parklife/i> in the mid '90s, before gradually venturing into other musical fields, between the alternative rock of the eponymous Blur (1997) and the world music touches of Think Tank (2003). So many musical ideas sprinkled throughout Blur's discography foreshadow the many other projects of the ultra-prolific Damon Albarn, with Gorillaz in the lead.
