In 2013, mastering engineer Antoine Chabert aka Chab put his fingers and ears to work on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. His mastering work earned him three Grammy Awards: Best Album, Best Recording and Best Sound. Ten years later, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have closed up shop, but that hasn’t stopped them from concocting the 10th-anniversary edition of their still influential album, enhanced by nine previously unreleased tracks. Logically, the duo recalled Chab to take part in this reissue. How did he work this time round, and what impact has Random Access Memories had on his personal career?
