Since his debut album in 2020, prolific North Carolina rapper and singer Toosii has released several EPs, a mixtape, and a scattering of singles, one of which, 2023's "Favorite Song," became his first chart-topper on the way to going platinum. Two versions of that hit -- a remix with Khalid and the "Toxic Version" with Future -- help anchor his sophomore full-length, NAU'JOUR. Toosii made his name on confessional, inward-looking songs with a strong melodic component, a trend he continues here. Bearing his first name -- Nau'Jour Lazier Grainger -- as the title, the album doubles down on introspective material with songs that run the gamut from mellow romantic balladry ("Another Love Song") and reflections on family ("Sinking") to the dark tension of "Pull Up," which features a guest spot from 21 Savage. NAU'JOUR also includes the heartfelt "Love Is…," a song previously included on Toosii's 2022 Boys Don't Cry EP.
