The beautiful jacket of Cha Cha Cha at the El Morocco says, "Tito Puente 'King of the Cha Cha Mambo' and Others," but the "others" is just Pepe Luis & His Orchestra. Luis contributes an original, "Cha Cha Cha del la Princesa," as well as other vocal tracks which are fine filler but not anything great. Puente's "Tito's Cha Cha Cha," a fast-paced vocal number, almost singlehandedly rescues the album from standard dance orchestra tedium. The other end track, "Cha Cha Guaguanco," performs the same function for the second side. In sum, a pair of great Puente tracks, the Tico label and nice jacket art are the attractions of Cha Cha Cha at the El Morocco.
