Hillsong United are keenly aware of what's happening in secular music, and while their album Zion added electronic sounds and some EDM into the picture, this EP goes in the other direction. Zion Acoustic Sessions does just what it says on the tin, inspired by groups like Mumford & Sons and the Lumineers with performances that are both front porch and indie-flavored. Fans will appreciate these alternate, more relaxed, and more intimate versions, and should know that it's Zion cut "Relentless" that benefits the most, going from a pleasant album opener to serene highlight.
