O rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again conquistou uma imensa base de fãs nos Estados Unidos com suas letras viscerais que narram histórias das ruas. A mixtape Still Flexin, Still Steppin (2020) foi o primeiro lançamento do artista na década de 20 e manteve o sucesso comercial: o trabalho estreou na segunda posição das paradas da Billboard 200 e mais de metade das 14 faixas foram tocadas o suficiente para entrar na parada de singles Hot 100. A mixtape contou com produção de vários importantes nomes do rap, como TAYTAYMADEIT e Vadebeatz, mas ao contrário da tendência contemporânea de contar com várias colaborações, YoungBoy aparece sozinho em praticamente todo o álbum.
