The Last Shadow Puppets released one of the more refreshing pop albums of 2008 with Age of the Understatement. A collaboration between the Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and the Rascals' Miles Kane, the album is packed with smart, stylish tunes that hang between classic Britpop and late 1960s orchestral pop. With its minor key snake-charmer melody and lush orchestration, the third single from the album, "My Mistakes Were Made for You," represents Turner and Kane's magic at its best. That song appears on this release as a single along with several B-sides, including a live version of "Separate and Ever Deadly" and "My Little Red Book," reminding listeners that this unique duo is a gift that keeps giving.
