The work song/video clip "Ela Disse Adeus" from the 11th album by the pop/rock band Os Paralamas Do Sucesso was the winner of the five main awards at MTV's Video Music Brasil '98. That song and "O Amor Não Sabe Eesperar" (with Marisa Monte) were also hits on the radio. A different sonority waits for the listener: instead of the brass arrangements of Vamo Batê Lata (1995), a straightforward pop sound will hit the audiences' interest immediately. "Scream Poetry" puts the unprecedented partnership of the Paralamas (music) with Chico Science (lyrics). The Paralamas oscillate between light pop for entertainment and a heavier intellectual pretension, which is never fulfilled and isn't popular amongs their fan base. Therefore, producer Chico Neves' choice of an unpretentious pop album is a good one. With special guests Jorge Mautner, Dado Villa-Lobos, and Marisa Monte, Hey Na Na offers uncomplicated entertainment, not completely freed from intellectualism excesses ("Um Dia Em Provença").
