This is a compilation of old recovered tapes by Sivuca, which may have been recorded in the 70's, due to the choice of instrumental. Basically, comprises Sivuca's originals composed together with his eminent partners Paulinho Tapajós, Paulo César Pinheiro and Glorinha Gadelha, his wife. Opens with a vigorous instrumental pop samba with delicious improvisations by Sivuca in his northeastern scales at the accordion; with special guest Fagner he interprets the nostalgic "No tempo dos quintais"; follows the vibrant baião "Te pego na mentira"; the beautiful instrumental choro "Músicos e poetas"; the rest of the album is dedicated to a couple of pop ballads (helped by the warm voice of the late Clara Nunes in one of them), and wonderful instrumental or vocal renditions for baião, marcha-rancho, choro and xaxado.
