Varduhi Yeritsyan
Varduhi Yeritsyan is an Armenian-French pianist. Born into a musical family -- both parents are pianists -- she took up the piano at an early age and won her first prize at 16. She attended the National Conservatory of Music in Erevan, studying with Mikhail Voskresensky and Victor Merzhanov for three years. She continued her studies at the Paris Conservatoire, in the class of Brigitte Engerer. She also studied with Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Claire Désert, and Marc Coppey. Yeritsyan has given recitals in France and toured Europe, and participated in many festivals. She has recorded albums of Scriabin's complete piano sonatas, as well as works of Komitas and Khachaturian, releasing both CDs on the Paraty label.
