This Yugoslavian hard rock quintet was formed in 1981 by Zlato Magdalenic (vocals), Mijo Popovic (guitar), Tomaz Zontar (keyboards), Marko Herak (bass) and Franc Teropic (drums). Together they secured a contract with the local RTB label. Musically, they incorporated elements of AC/DC, Deep Purple and Accept, but added little creative input of their own. The band was known as Pomaranca in Yugoslavia and attracted a small but loyal cult following after the release of their debut album in 1982. This featured native lyrics and consequently excluded a large section of their potential audience. Madbringer saw the band using English lyrics for the first time, but their crude enunciation failed to enhance their appeal.
