After 2008's La Cigale live album and tribute to Nino Rota, former Les Rita Mitsouko vocalist Catherine Ringer returns with her debut solo record and first studio effort since the death of her musical and life partner, Fred Chichin. Produced by Mark Plati, the highly emotional affair deals with the aftermath of her loss on 12 tracks, which include collaborations with Wu Tang Clan's RZA and former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante.

In your panoramas...
Hardy yé-yé

Françoise Hardy was one of the spearheads of the yé-yé movement that took over France in the early 1960s. And yet, her relationship with this current has not always been straightforward…

Melody Nelson, an Inside View

Fifty years after its release on March 24th, 1971, and thirty years after its creator's death, we look back at the conception and progression of one of Serge Gainsbourg's greatest albums, "Histoire de Melody Nelson", a conceptual story set to music alongside his accomplice Jean-Claude Vannier.

Lhasa, An Unforgettable Shooting Star

With only three studio albums, one live album and three international tours, “Lhasa” de Sela still made her unique mark on contemporary popular music. “La Llorona”, “The Living Road” and “Lhasa” are all accomplished works in their own right and open the door to a strange yet familiar world, halfway between dream and reality. Full of both light and darkness, these songs are imbued with the genuine feelings of an artist whose heartfelt vocals reach out and pull the listener in, creating an intimate relationship with the audience. Looking back at the life of “Lhasa” de Sela, the makings of a legend are visible like chapters in a novel, complete with all the emotion that comes with a beautiful but heartbreaking storyline.
