    Specializing in classical music, the Dutch label Channel Classics Records was founded in 1990 by C.Jared Sacks, a young American born in Boston, Massachusetts. Sacks obtained a complete musical education (receiving lessons on trumpet, piano, composition and conducting) at Oberlin Conservatory and then at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, alongside gaining fifteen years of experience as a hornist. Then, in 1987, Sacks decided to focus more fully on his long-time hobby, sound recording, a passion that had driven him for many years.
