Band on the Run wordt wel beschouwd als het het beste soloalbum van Paul McCartney. De plaat, die de Brit samen met zijn band Wings opneemt, komt in 1973 uit en is een meteen een commercieel succes. Band on the Run brengt twee hits voort: het titelbummer en de track "Jet".
