Owl Company
A hard-charging melodic heavy rock ensemble from São Paulo, Brazil, Owl Company employs a distinctly American-sounding blend of hard rock, post-grunge, and groove metal. Drawing from the hard rock scenes of the 1970s (think Clutch by way of Black Sabbath) and the '90s, the band was formed in 2015 around the talents of vocalist Enrico Minelli, guitarist Felipe Ruiz, and drummer Thiago Biasoli. Two years later they added second guitarist Bruno Solera and bass player Fabio Yamamoto, and released their debut album, Horizon. The LP did well regionally, prompting the five-piece to try their luck in the United States. A show at Los Angeles' famed Viper Room caught the ear of producer Matt Wallace (Three Doors Down, Faith No More), who offered to record the band's next single. The resulting "Pieces" landed Owl Company a deal with Eclipse Records, who put out the group's Wallace-produced sophomore long-player Iris in November 2018.
